Creep on my pics // Vlogs
I'm Jess. Believe it or not, I'm 20. I live in the real world of working and having responsibility. I try to be the carefree youngin' I should be, on days off. Which includes going to shows to see my favorite bands. I'm a total music junkie and I literally like almost any genre. I like band guys, a lot. If you're musically talented, I swoon. If you can hold an intelligent conversation with me, I swoon. I obsess over cute guys, but at the same time, I'm mostly against dating. I'm shy, but if I know you well enough, or get a good vibe from you, I'll talk your ear off. I ramble and I overexplain everything. I probably have a lot of annoying tendencies. Take me as I am, or gtfo.
Okay, bye:)

Fifty Shades of Grey is slightly disturbing. But it makes me laugh a lot. Not in the “oh they made a joke haha funny” kind of way. In the way that the descriptions of the sex acts are hilariously cheesy. And the dialogue during the sex acts. It’s downright hilarious. And aside from the sexual nature of the book, it’s written like a teen novel. The characters are like ones you’d find in books in the young adult section. Everything about the book-again, aside from the sexual nature- just screams adolescent literature. It surprises me that so many older women thoroughly enjoy this novel.

I have roughly 100 pages to go. I’m at the part where it’s “the Sunday” before she signs the contract. She just had her first experience in the “Red Room of Pain” sheesh.

So I didn’t just giggle during the naughty parts of Fifty Shades of Grey, I literally laughed out loud throughout 90% of the first sex scenes. “you’re so beautiful Anastasia Steele. I can’t wait to be inside you” “I’m gonna fuck you. Hard” and more that just made me crack up laughing. I can not take this seriously at all.

P.s. despite the description of Christian Grey, while reading, I picture John Barrowman[more specifically Captain Jack Harkness]. Hah.

So I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey last night…

I mainly just want to see what the buzz is all about.. Honestly, I’m finding it rather hard to take seriously knowing the fact that it was originally a Twilight fan fiction. Especially since I don’t like Twilight.. The dialogue is also pretty cheesy, the same adjectives are repeated too many times, and the inner monologue tends to be annoying at points.. I haven’t gotten to any of the “naughty” scenes yet, but I can only imagine how cheesy the descriptions will be. I’ll either feel incredibly awkward reading it, or I’ll giggle at how cheesy it is. I guess I’ll find out.

Lol no. I counted it out yesterday. It was $41.98. Hah. I still have the bag from last time, and I added more to it so I have over $100 in just change. Hahaa.

I got my best friend into Doctor Who a few weeks ago. I’ve already finished the current seasons and she’s currently near the end of season 3. She uses my Netflix, so every time I get on to watch Torchwood, I check to see which episode she’s at on Doctor Who and I’m like “Ooh she finally got to that part”, “Ohh she finally met this person” and so on. I just checked now and she had finished Utopia, so I was like “ooooh she just met the master!” “ooooh she saw the weeping angels” next time I go over there she’ll have probably gotten to at least the beginning of season 5. I’ll have so much more to talk to her about next time I’m there. Hahaa.

Sitting here listening to Lines, Vines, and Trying Times as I organize my room…

It got me thinking… The Jonas Brothers are highly underrated. LVATT is hands down their best album, and it’s a really good album in general. But it’s the same album that cost them a big number of fans. It doesn’t make sense, I know, but I’ll explain. LVATT was a completely different album from the rest. It’s more mature, diverse, and a bit complex. There’s not one single genre that can describe this album. That was the point. They were experimenting with different sounds and the outcome was great. But here’s where the tricky part comes in. Now JB were Disney associated, so a majority of their fans were in the young crowd. I remember reading a bunch of reviews from “fans”, and one was talking about how it was their worst album. The younger fans weren’t interested in the different musical elements JB put into this album. LVATT is not a cookie cutter album at all. It’s very different from their early pop-ish material. I completely understand the younger crowd not being interested.

Since Jonas Brothers are “taboo” for older people to say they’re a fan of, without looking like someone who is still childish, it’s hard for people to take them seriously. If you want someone 20+ to give the Jonas Brothers a second look, recommend LVATT.

On another note, Nick’s solo album was also a really good album. But it didn’t get much notice, because again, it wasn’t mainstream nor cookie cutter. Joe’s on the other hand, I admit was good, but the main reason it had more attention was because it was mainstream.

I’m interested to see what they do with the new album.[If you’re a JB fan that’s living under a rock; YES they are making a new album:D] I just hope to god that they don’t make a mainstream album. I hope they continue with sounds like on LVATT. Not necessarily the same, but not mainstream. I except them to progress in their sound, I just hope they don’t go the way of mainstream like everyone else is doing lately.

I found an old mixed cd from a few years ago and I’m beginning to think that my thoughts were focused on one person while creating the cd… oops.
